Dr. Nidhi B Harjai is the founder Director of BeHeard Clinics (Mohali, Punjab), an EX-PGIMER and former, Sr. Consultant and Head of the Department of Speech and Hearing at FORTIS Hospital Mohali. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She was awarded the institute MEDAL for her outstanding academic record and
all-round performance.
She has delivered 13+ years of high-quality care to patients in both in-patient and out-patient facility. She was recognized for her role and contribution within several organizations and received several accolades for the same. She is passionate about holistic approaches to treating children and adults with speech, hearing, and communication disorders and prescribes individualized treatment plans for each case.
Dr. Nidhi is a well-known speaker and often interacts with other health care professionals, patient care and parent groups. She has conducted several workshops and delivered several talks on hearing impairment, it causes and management as an invited faculty in the states of Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
She is a member volunteer of Aphasia and Stroke Association of India, as a part of her social commitment and displays an infectious passion for it.
She has been a pioneer in establishing the Universal New Born Hearing Screening Program in the Punjab and Himachal Pradesh region.
BeHeard Clinic is her venture to provide world-class speech and hearing services to people with communication disorders under one roof. It is a center of excellence in diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology, Speech-Language and Neuro-Cognitive Rehabilitation. The center has been recognized by various hospitals and medical facilities. The clinic proudly partners with links of MAX Super Specialty Mohali for providing clinical services in the area of specialization.
She has been published multiple times in both international and national peer-reviewed journals and presented several times in national conventions and CME meets. She is an active blogger and presently the editor in chief of the PGI Speech and Hearing Newsletter. Dr. Nidhi is the Joint Secretary of North India chapter of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association. She is an RCI Licensed Audiologist; SLP and a life member of the India Speech; Hearing Association.
RANJANA BHANDARI is an Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist with BeHeard Clinic.
She is an alumnus of the premiere medical college of the state, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She has a keen interest in Audiological assessment and rehabilitation of people with communication disorders.
She has a rich experience in therapy of patients with Speech, Language and Communication disorder of neurological origin (Aphasia, Dysarthria). Her affinity for kids makes her an ideal therapist for children with speech disorders. She is trained in Indian Sign language and has worked extensively with hearing impaired children and adults.
MS. TANUJA CHAUHAN
Ms. Tanuja Chauhan graduated in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Swami Rama Himalayan University Dehradun. She completed her training in Rehabilitation Of Hearing Impairment at the prestigious IIT Roorkee Hospital and has worked extensively with the paediatric population with hearing loss. She has a keen interest in pediatric fitting and habilitation.
She has been actively working in the New Born Hearing screening programming the BeHeard Clinic and manages the same at Max super specialty Hospital Mohali and other newborn nurseries at different facilities in the Tricity.
Ms. Tanuja has a keen interest in electrophysiological testing and auditory processing disorders. As in-charge Of electrophysiological lab at the Clinic, she specializes in electrophysiological testing of newborns and babies.
She has an impeccable command on cases of articulation disorders, fluency disorders, childhood language disorders, and Neurological disorder. Tanuja is an RCI licensed Audiologist and speech-language pathologist and a life member Of ISHA.
